Our BASE programs emphasize the core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, and we strive to be the preferred choice of all families regardless of their financial situation. This state-wide initiative of the Office of Child Development and Early Learning takes a continuous, systemic approach to assess, improve and communicate the level of quality in early and school-age care and education programs in Pennsylvania. The Y is committed to providing excellence in all of our youth development programs, which is why we participate in the Keystone Stars Quality Initiative program. The values and skills a young person develops early are vital building blocks for the quality of their adult life - This is why we use a curriculum to create a nurturing environment where children can create, challenge themselves and expand their horizons. If you are a current family, you will receive a direct link for registration from your site director. At the Y, we create opportunities for people to improve their lives and their communities. Weekly cost (per child): 60 for Y members, 90 for non-members. At the Y, kids will learn more about their world, develop healthy relationships with adults and other kids, build self-reliance, get help with their schoolwork and more all in a safe, nurturing environment. There is a 1 per minute late fee for pick-up after 6pm. BASE programs provide a safe environment where young people build friendships and get homework support. Registration for current before & after-school care families interested in five-day care packages for the 2023 2024 school year will begin the week of March 13. Afterschool care hours (during in-class instruction days): 2:15 - 6:00pm. ![]()
